Quick Tour - Using the PCX Customizer

Using the PCX Customizer!

How do I start customizing the Odyssey Basic or any other PC system or bundle?

It’s easy to customize! Once you’re into the PCX website, look for and click PCX Customizer!

1. Once the PCX Customizer! page opens, click any of the pre-constructed or bundled PC units, say Odyssey Basic.
2. The specifications of the unit show up. However, if you wish to change any of the specifications (as provided), click Configure w/ PCX Customizer! or Customize & Buy.
3. The page leads you to the Customize Specifications page where the unit’s parts are listed—motherboard, casing and all. Opposite the unit’s parts are scroll-down menus/boxes that contain options and/or specifications, for say processor. Scroll down and click your preferred specification, say Intel Pentium4 Processor 2.53GHz—Add 5,000.
4. Notice that the price across the entries Customize Specifications and Current Total Price changes every time you change specifications. Each option is priced differently.
5. Click Add to Cart! if you’re buying your customized unit.

Is the PCX Customizer! the same as buying a computer part by part?

No. The PCX Customizer! is not a PC system integrator. It only gives you the option to replace some specifications of an existing PC system or bundle say the Odyssey Basic.

Why are there no options for some specifications? The Odyssey Basic, for example, does not have any other option for motherboard except for ex. AsRock Gpro S650?

If options are not available for some specifications, it only means that the current specifications are already the best buys for that PC system or bundle. Options too are limited per the recommendation of PC Experts to avoid overclocking and the like that could shorten a PC’s usefulness. Stock availability may also be one cause.
